Horseback riding in Durango, Colorado is an incredibly unique way to experience our beautiful San Juan mountains. Riding alongside and through creeks and rivers and loping across mountain meadows – it’s easy to feel like you’re in a movie or fairy tale.

Durango Day Rides Now Available August through October!
The Ranch offers riding for day guests as well as our all-inclusive ranch experiences. Visitors to Durango may schedule rides that are one-hour, two-hour, or half-day in length.

$75 per person Introductory Ride (1 hr.)
$110 per person Taste of Colorado Trails (2 hrs.)
$700 per group of 1-2 Off-site Engineer Mountain Ride (All Day)
*Each additional rider $300 per rider up to a total of 5 in a group

Novice riders need not be shy!
Our guest ranch is accustomed to introducing beginners to horseback trail riding. In fact, 80% of the guests who stay at the ranch have little or no horse experience. With the guidance of our experienced wranglers and the right mount for your personality, you’ll quickly learn the basics of riding and be comfortable exploring beautiful Durango, Colorado on horseback. Children will have instruction and ride with their peers. Naturally, their parents are always welcome to join in too.
Experienced riders will be pleased with the high quality of our horses, the diverse and well-kept riding trails on our private 1000 acres and also trails adjoining San Juan National Forest. We have easy trails for beginners, and more challenging trails for guests with advanced riding skills.
For the well-being of our horses, there is a weight restriction of 230 pounds for guests who wish to ride. This weight limit may be adjusted based on height and riding ability.
