For kids in this age group, they don’t want to have to hang around with what they consider little children… but they might not want to hang around the older kids, where they might not feel comfortable to be themselves.
Here at Colorado Trails Ranch, the Rough Riders – ages 9-12 – do get to be themselves, while trying new activities and having lots of fun. Dude ranch counselors tailor the schedule to what the kids like to do and are capable of (and, in the process, the kids discover they’re capable of a lot more than they ever thought!).
The following are some of the activities included in the Rough Riders' program; they all include instruction, to whatever degree your child needs or wants:

Remember: The three groups of our children’s program come together during the day, so brothers and sisters have plenty of time to hang out together during their ranch vacation, no matter their age.
